Admissions

Nursery

Children can join Nursery at the beginning of the term, after their 3rd birthday. However, if spaces are available, it may be possible for children to start earlier. At Netherfield Infants, we offer both 15‑hour and 30‑hour Nursery provision, depending on eligibility and parental preference.

Once you decide that you would like your child to attend our Nursery, you will be asked to complete a registration form with your details and your child’s details. This ensures we can contact you about your child’s place and keep you informed about transition dates and important information. It is essential that you notify us of any changes to these details.

The registration form also provides an opportunity to share any Special Educational Needs or Medical Conditions your child may have. We ask for this information so that we can plan effectively and, where appropriate, contact relevant external services to support a smooth and successful transition for your child.

Applying for a Nursery place: Please contact the school office directly for information about availability and applications.

In-Year Admissions

If you are looking for a place for your child outside of the normal admission rounds, we are here to help.

In-year admissions (for children wishing to transfer schools during the academic year) are managed through Nottinghamshire County Council. Parents and carers will need to complete an in-year application form via the local authority.

We strongly encourage families to contact the school before applying, so we can:

  • Discuss availability of places
  • Offer a visit to the school
  • Provide guidance and support throughout the application process

Our team is committed to ensuring that any transition into Eastlands Junior School is as smooth and positive as possible for both children and families.
