Applying for a place
Nursery
Children can join Nursery at the beginning of the term, after their 3rd birthday. However, if spaces are available, it may be possible for children to start earlier. At Netherfield Infants, we offer both 15‑hour and 30‑hour Nursery provision, depending on eligibility and parental preference.
Once you decide that you would like your child to attend our Nursery, you will be asked to complete a registration form with your details and your child’s details. This ensures we can contact you about your child’s place and keep you informed about transition dates and important information. It is essential that you notify us of any changes to these details.
The registration form also provides an opportunity to share any Special Educational Needs or Medical Conditions your child may have. We ask for this information so that we can plan effectively and, where appropriate, contact relevant external services to support a smooth and successful transition for your child.
Reception
In the Autumn term before your child is eligible to start school full time, you should apply for a school place through the online process with Nottinghamshire County Council:
If you cannot use the online form, please telephone: 0300 500 8080 to make your application.
Places are allocated according to our Admissions Criteria which is published here on the school website. If you are unsuccessful in your application, there is an appeals process. Please contact the School Office for further details.
