Nursery
Cherry - Mrs Goodall
Welcome to Nursery
Mrs Goodall, Miss North, Mrs Broughton, Mrs Buck and Miss Leafe are here to welcome all parents and children to Netherfield Foundation Unit. We love being part of your learning journey!
Uniform
Each day your child will need to wear school uniform. They will also need suitable clothing to access our outdoor provision. We got out in ALL weathers!
Our clothes might sometimes get dirty but this shows that we have been learning through play.
Reading
Please make sure your child brings their book bag everyday. We will put their pieces of art in it to keep them safe on the journey home. On a Monday, Wednesday and Friday they will choose a book to bring home to share with you.
Reminder
Please can you make sure their name is on all uniform and clothing, including coats and shoes, as we have found some clothes which unfortunately do not have names in and they all look the same!
Song of the week
Each week the children learn a new nursery rhyme. It has been proven that when children hear and sing nursery rhymes, lullabies and simple songs, then we are preparing their ear, voice and brain for language development.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Once I caught a fish alive 8.9.25

Vocabulary we are learning this week.
Each week we have a book of the week. We explore the meaning of the words in the book.
- Sari - a length of fine cloth which, when wrapped around the waist and over the shoulder, is the common dress of many women in India and Pakistan.
- chopsticks - Chopsticks are thin sticks used for eating. They are used in countries, such as Japan and China.
- block of flats - a group of connected rooms on one floor used as a place to live.
