Expected writing at the end of Autumn Term 

To know how to write labels next to a picture, writing some recognisable letters in a line. 

Expected writing at the end of Spring term. 

To know how to write lists and captions, forming lower case letters correctly and spelling words by identifying the sounds and writing the sounds with letters. 

Expected writing at the end of Summer Term. 

To know how to write a retell and instructions by writing short sentences with words with known sound-letter correspondences using a capital letter and full stop. To know how to re-read what they have written to check it makes sense.
